Job Summary

Vicor is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join 2nd shift operations. This individual will perform a variety of genertal maintenance tasks and requires knowledge of various building maintenance.

• Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of building maintenance activities and systems.
\n
• Performs a variety of carpentry and simple plumbing tasks, and maintains interior paint surfaces.
\n
• Troubleshoots equipment and/or facilities problems and escalates them as needed.
\n
• Performs waste management and recycling programs including moving, organizing and disposing under direction of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
\n
• Will perform other duties of a similar nature and complexity, as well as custodial tasks, as directed.
\n
• Participates in periodic on-call coverage as needed, to maintain reliable facilities services (in accordance with applicable Vicor policy for such coverage).
\n
• Must be passionate about and display good customer service skills.
\n
• Must perform work in a safe manner and understand the importance of safety in a factory setting.
\n
• Must be able to work without direct supervision after completion of training.
\n

Education / Qualifications

\n
• High school/vocational school diploma.
\n
• Basic computer knowledge, email, MS Office, etc.
\n
• 3-5 years' applicable experience.
\n
• General working knowledge of plant facilities equipment and systems: HVAC, air compressors, vacuum pumps, chilled water systems, energy management systems and alarm systems, is a plus.
\n
• Experience handling waste materials and recycling is a plus.
\n
• Experience directly supporting internal customers.
\n
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
\n
• Must be able to use ladders as needed.
\n

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $25 - $30/hour

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity
